Color Coordinated


After my New York trip, I promised my sister to finish the painting above. I've painted this photo before and I used markers which made it less taxing; working with acrylic definitely changed the whole experience. Choosing colors for the skin was the easy part, choosing colors for the shirt was absolutely arduous especially when you're working from a black and white photograph – I was so glad her tie was red. The whole time I was painting, I was imagining what colors should a white shirt have: purple, blue, green, grey, teal, brown, mustard etc. Then I decided to use them all. So there you go, when in doubt, dive into colors. Have fun coloring!
