That is so sweet. I had a similar experience with a parakeet and kittens. I read if you introduce them while the kittens are 3 weeks old that they won't think of them as prey but as a companion species. Interesting. Wonder what the story on this cat and the rats is? I will have to look into it.
I know! Parakeet and kittens? That's so cute! I would love to see that. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and they get a long pretty well. But we never let the bird out. I wish we had them when they were the same age.
